cafe Roux, Cape Town
Lights Out will be bringing their unique sound of rock, jazz and blues to Cafe Roux in June. Focusing on original music, as well as performing a variety of covers arranged with their own twist, Lights Out blends multiple musical genres, influenced and inspired by artists such as Nina Simone, Nirvana, Massive Attack, Tori Amos, James Brown, Alabama Shakes, Guns’n’Roses, and Imogen Heap, amongst others.
Lights Out have become a regular feature on the Cape Town gig circuit as well as having had a sell-out show at Cafe Roux in 2016. Fronted by British songwriter Caminey Kuropatwa on vocals and piano, and joined by ex-Binary and Amersham drummer Mark Macdonald, multi-instrumentalist session musician and ex-Eminent Child bassist Mike McAuley, and the talented rock, jazz and blues guitarist Josh Rosen as the newest member of the band, Lights Out is all about playing music from the heart and soul.
**PLEASE NOTE: DINNER FROM 6.30/7PM. SHOW TO START AT 8.30PM
