Niël Rademan was the head of the Suidooster Festival in Cape Town for the past four years, but decided to make his return to the stage as pianist and singer – after this successful period in his life. He performed all over Europe: Netherlands, France, Switzerland and England in different genres: from opera to Cabaret. Now his panning a series of concerts in different parts of South Africa.
RADEMAN / The advice giver is a production focusing on the crossover genre of Cabaret, classical music and lighter popular music with Niël Rademan on piano and voice, Lucas Heinen on accordion and Louis Jones on percussion.
This group of musicians move between and merges the above mentioned genres. Each instrumentalist is well trained: together they create a fusion as never heard before. Think Brell, Piazzola, Lieder, Gypsy sounds and traditional music all fused together. The music is assessable, reflecting and aesthetically beautiful. This production comments on society in a subtle way and aims to give advise to these who want to read between the lines.
PS. Wise people don’t think that they need advise, fools never ask for it…
