New acts coming– Beatenberg, December Streets, Michael Lowman & James Stewart

beatenberg

We’ve got some brilliant new acts joining our June/July lineup. First up is Beatenberg – 25th June, R100. This handsome trio have been dominating radio with their single with DJ Clock “Pluto (Remember You)” being the most played single (by weeks at #1) on SA radio ever!. This same song has just been nominated for “Song of the Year” at the 2014 MTV Music Awards. That’s a BIG DEAL!  And they’ve opened for Bastille & John Newman in JHB & will be the opening act for upcoming 30 Seconds to Mars Tour later this year. These guys are going places– you need to check them out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FavE84Mmc7sDecember Streets

Awesome to have December Streets coming back to our little neck of the woods in their upcoming CT tour.  Thursday 26th of June. R120 a ticket. This Pretoria-based indie/rock band describes their music as “feet stomping, skirt lifting, shoulder popping musical bliss”. And that it is. Their last gig at cafe Roux was brilliant.  Have a look – very cool band…https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8A5Hqp5rzk

Michael Lowman (3rd of July, R100 a ticket)– this guys name seems to be popping up all over the place. He’s all over Twitter. He’s all over radio. He was nominated for a 2014 SAMA for “Best Adult Contemporary Album”. He was nominated for a 2014 MTV  AFRICA MUSIC AWARD for “Best Alternative Act”. He was nominated for “Best Newcomer” in 2014 MK Awards. You get the picture.  He’s just opened for UB40 & will open for Tori Amos in her upcoming SA Tour later this month.  His hit single “Boy meets Girl” has made it to #1 on radio stations around the country. You’ll definitely recognize this one. It’s a great song. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbjIrbp8R6U

James

James Stewart is back on Friday the 4th of July, R100. Nothing beats a Winter Session with James. Emmy nominated, Multi SAMA award-winning, chart topping singer/songwriter, producer & musical entrepreneur. He’ll hit you with some of the old favourites from days of his hit 90’s band “The Usual” & woo you with his newer piano ballads. Nothing beats his version of “Weeping”….https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CaekmPoFH4
