Lights Out will be back in Noordhoek on Friday 30 August!
Known for their electrifying live performances, this alternative rock band is spearheaded by female British songwriter Caminey Kuropatwa on vocals and piano; M4A’s ‘Most Creative Guitarist’, Marcel Smit on guitar, and drummer Damian Rijkers, previously of Sabretooth, as well as having drummed for Richard Stirton and The Rudimentals.
Lights Out are no stranger to the Cafe Roux stage, having three sell-out shows under their belt and being a regular feature on the Cape Town gig circuit for almost five years, and their unique brand of raw, expressive and emotive alternative rock music has garnered them many followers. Come and see them in August where they will be debuting new material as well as some favourite covers and orignals including their single ‘Shut It Down’, which was described by SA’s biggest and award-winning music blog, Texx and the City, as ‘self-assertive…drenched in distortion, and with a powerful vocal dynamic and lyricism centred on strong-willed empowerment’.
